Rylee.com: January 2010

It seems like she learns a new word everyday! Since last post she has learned to say "paper"(and LOVES ripping it), "UP"(as in shut UP or pick me UP), "blue", "ball" and "puppy". She was invited to her first play group yesterday and kept calling her friend Ella's cat "pup pup". Here a few pictures of her playing and sitting on Ella's lap. She had so much playing with the other babies. We cant wait to go again!

Last weekend Nancy, Austin and Jaden and Bob came to visit. She LOVES playing with them!

Here she is showing Auntie and Uncle Brad how she can stand by herself.

Now that she can move, she has 2 favorite destinations. Here is one of them, the entertainment center. She is obsessed with pushing buttons. Any buttons, anywhere.

Her other favorite place to crawl, the dog dish. And no, letting her try a piece so that she knows it is gross does not work, she likes it, a lot.

Rylee celebrated her 9 month birthday by CRAWLING! Jaden and I were playing in her room with her while Daddy and Nancy were out picking up pizza.....we moved to the other side of the room and she wanted to come too! It was so incredible! Here she is showing Daddy and Aunt Nancy! She amazes me every single day.

So needless to say, Daddy baby proofed the house today. Although she did start crawling, she still prefers to be upright. Dr. Reyes thinks she will probably be walking in the next week or so. She was so impressed that she was able to stand on the big girl scale this visit. 19.2 lbs(50th percentile) and she is 28 1/4" tall(75th percentile). Her doctor was also happy to hear how many words she can say. Dr Reyes said "Geez, I was hoping for one or two". At this point she can say, mama, dada, last night she started saying Hops instead of Pa-Pa and Bock instead of Bah, baby, ba-ba (butterfly) , bye-bye....and I think that's all of 'em. No more medicine for Rylee! Overall she is healthy and doing fantastic. I am so thankful to have a healthy happy child.

To celebrate her crawling we all went for some DQ! We wanted Stone Cold but it was closed due to weather, Boo. Rylee and I shared a strawberry cheescake blizzard! Mmmm..

New Years Eve we started some traditions. We had family game and movie night. We watched Step Brothers and played a fishing game for our first year. Here is Rylee checking her bait. Then going fish! She won....but cheated the whole time.

Daddy made us steak and crab legs for dinner! Hopefully he makes that every year! Rylee had a graham cracker appetizer.

It was such a short visit with the Gramms and we miss them already!
