Nana's Birthday!

Here's a couple photos off Merle's phone at the Ped's for Rylee's 2 week Wellness check. OMG how cute!!!!

Today Rylee and I went to see Nana at work for her birthday. She was GREAT in the store while picking up a few things for Nana.....until the checkout line.... She calmed down as soon as we got on the road. She was great at Nana's work (with a little snack in the conference room :)). Started to fuss towards the end of the visit but content again once we got movin' in the car. She continues to have more and more content awake time everyday.

More big news....I have actually been able to relax a bit while Merle calms Rylee in between feedings and/or gets her to sleep!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much saner this makes my days. Just hearing her cry and not actively trying to soothe her would send me into a complete tizzy! Daddy is awesome at getting her to sleep and it is priceless to get a break once in awhile. Although I then miss her and am tempted to pick her back up, lol. (unless it's 5am:)) How do people do it without such a great husband/dad???

Also, she is kind of off the shield now. I have still been using it at night so I don't have to worry about a good latch at 2am. But she has no problem going back and forth. With the bottle as well. She's a smart kid! No "nipple confusion" here!
