Playing, Playing and more Playing!

I can't remember all we've been up to since the last post so I'll try and hit the highlights. Saturday we had our Fantasy football draft at Spectators down the street. Rylee enjoyed being a part of the group while sporting her Browns gear with Mommy.
Rylee and I spent a day last week shopping and bought her entire fall/winter wardrobe. We had so much fun! We got a really cute snow suit and hats. We also bought one of those First Year frames and I spent some time today printing the first 4 month pictures. Wow has she grown!

On Monday we went to visit Austin and Jaden before thier first day of school. They were very excited and a bit nervous. Nana was there too so we got a 2 for 1 visit. Aunt Nancy bounced Rylee on the trampoline and her little feet were jumping!

Rylee, although still a bit too small, has been enjoying her jumper and exersaucer these last 2 weeks. She played in her exersaucer today for 20 minutes!
She found the super cute baby in the mirror. :)

Here she is in her jumper. She doesn't really jump, she just kinda bumps around.
She has been rolling over like CRAZY! She is really good at going from her back to her tummy, but sometimes gets stuck there and then gets angry angry, lol. Here she is in action.

She continues to try a new solid every 3 days. So far she has tried peas, sweet potatoes, bananas and green beans. The green beans only made it 2 days because we think it made her gassy and fussy. She has really liked everything so far. The only food she gave the "gross" face for was the banana's of all things. She warmed up to them pretty quickly though.
Before bath Rylee wanted some Hopsy time. First the stare down and kisses.
Then they took turns annoying each other. They LOVE each other so much!
Nakey Baby!
Some giggle time with Mommy before bed.

More Giggling....

Lastly, "mum, mom, ma ma," has made it's way into Rylee's babbling! It is mostly when she is complaining but either way, I love it sooo much!! I'll get it on video for the next post!

Have a great weekend everyone!

4 Month Wellness Visit

Dr. Reyes says Rylee is doing perfect! She has met all of her milestones plus some. She mimics Daddy's fake cough and as progressed into this high pitched squealing/screaming cough, I gotta capture it on video. Daddy says she rolled over both ways this morning! (As I am writing this she is rolling over like CRAZY! Back and forth! I am so proud!) Breastfeeding continues to be successful for us as she is still on the high end of percentiles! 90th in height (25 3/4") and 75th in weight (14.6 lbs). I informed her doctor of her sleep habits and what we have tried and her exact words were, "Your screwed, ha ha ha". Awesome. Let the battle rage on. Doc thinks we have to break the nursing every 2 hours habit. Last night we tried Daddy and a bottle for her first wake and she slept 4 hours then 3! Also, Rylee is one tough kid.....she cried for less than a minute after 4 shots! She was amazing! The doc also ok'd us to let RC try some #1 jar foods. She tried peas the past 2 days and LOVED em! We are not supplementing BFing, just letting her try different things. Here she is hanging out while we were warming up her peas. (The second pic is from just now, rolled over to play on her tummy!)
Yummmmy Peas!

On our way to her appointment we stopped in at my OB's office to show off Rylee. Here she is with Dr. Rao and nurse Kathy. I could not possibly say enough good things about these two, they are the best! After seeing them so much throughout the pregnancy, I was actually sad on my last visit not to be making another appointment. I wonder if Rylee remembers Dr. Rao catching her after being sqeeeezed into the world, LOL.
Last week we met Aunt Nancy, Austin and Jaden at a market/festival in Mentor. As usual we LOVE spending time with them. Rides with A.N. then some kisseys from Austin. He is so good with her. He will definitly be babysitting one day.
Jaden loved the bouncy thing and Austin got a Browns helmet from the balloon guy. I wish videos transferred from my phone, because we got an awesome one of Rylee laughing at the baloon guy. We were all just standing there watching and she started CRACKING up, it was soooo funny. I'm still gonna post the video at the end. You probably can't hear it, but you can see her giggling.
Austin and Jaden played throw the ring on the can of corn. Nancy and I gave Austin a hard time for standing on the toddler line, LOL.

Over the weekend we went to scope out Spectators, the place we are having our Fantasy Football Draft this Saturday. Rylee was so good! She won a pen from this game machine!
This morning I had to buckle my little Squiggly Wiggly into her chair. She prefers it on the most upright setting. She HATES laying down "like a baby".
Giggling with Daddy. Before she saw the camera, much more giggling was going on!

Look how she brings her knees in twords the end, someone wants to crawl soon!

Last vid....giggling at the balloon guy...

Post again soon!

So this Tuesday I decided it was time for Rylee to sleep in her crib. I really enjoyed sleeping with her and wouldn't have done anything different BUT she has not slept in the past 2 months so it's time for a change. We are trying a very mild "fuss it out" method. The first night was absolutely horrid. Listening to her cry and doing nothing about it was so unnatural. I did stay in the room with her so I knew she wasn't scared. The first night she collectivly got 5 hours of sleep, the second night 9. No more than 2 hours at a time. She has been out for a little over an hour now, on the first attempt, which is a new record. Wish us luck!

We have had a pretty uneventful week otherwise. Rylee continues to enjoy her daily rice cereal. She started holding her own bottle this week. She took the bottle right from Daddy's hand. Here is a couple pics of the first time she did it. She says 'I'll hold my own stinkin' bottle, Thank You".
Here's our little messy eater.
We took our first successful walk in the stroller on Tuesday(she usually hates the stroller). Doesn't she look sooo cute!
That's about it for now. I better get some rest in case she wakes up soon. Shopping tomorrow!

Oh and here is a funny video of Bock. He was rooting for Buster.

4 Months Old!!!

As of 10:59 this morning, it's been exactly 4 months since Rylee made her entrance into the world. I've said it before and I mean it, she COULD NOT possibly be loved anymore. She is absolutely perfect in every way. Parents with older children warn me often "It goes by so fast". Merle and I were talking the other day, and at this point anyway, it seems like she has always been here. We can't remember life B.R. Here is a few words from Rylee about how it feels to be 4 months old...

I bought Rylee a special 4 month dress, I think she looks great in blue. Just laying on her tummy saying "Hello".

Just a little spit running out of her mouth. This is pretty typical these days. She has to wear a bib. I call her a geek, lol.
The highlight of Rylee's 4 month old day was letting her try rice cereal for the first time! I was soooooo excited. We went shopping yeterday for her first bowls and spoons. She LOVED it! She tried to eat the bowl right out of Daddy's hand!
Here she is perfecting her bubble blowing skills.
And standing! She is crazy good at this. She looks too mini to be standing!
We were trying to get a good picture of her by the flowers. The first picture sums up the attempt. She says "No".
She is starting to be able to hold herself up a bit in her exersaucer.
She hates tummy time a little bit less each time. Look how high she gets up now.
Flying on Mommy's legs. Weeeeee!! More spit dripping. She got it directly in my mouth the other day. It was awesome. Daddy thought it was funny.
Here is video of princess doing her mini push-ups like a big girl.

This week was pretty uneventful. Daddy was home a lot, which was really nice. We got to spend a lot of family time together. We went shopping at the Aurora Farm Outlet Mall. Rylee made out on that trip! Tons of clothes including 2 pair of 6M Osh Kosh overalls. SOOO cute!! Daddy got shoes and Mommy got a t-shirt and a slush puppy. Rylee got a lick of my slushy....mmmm. Yesterday we took Rylee to the West Side Market. We bought lots of good, cheap meats fruits and veggies and Rylee got to see her first pig in pieces, sick.

Rylee continues to wake a lot at night but were working on it. I am reading the No Cry Sleep Solution Book that many Moms swear by. I honestly don't expect much, but what the heck. I was soppose to keep a wake log last night but can't really make sense of it this morning. I am pretty sure she had a 3 1/2 hour stretch last night because I don't feel like I'm gonna throw up.

Might be joining Nikki and family at the Lake today, depending on what time Rylee naps this morning. Have a great week everyone!
