Weekend of "firsts".

Rylee's first bubbles! First Mommy tried blowing bubbles the old fashioned way. BORING! One or two bubbles....bubbles in RC's hair.... Then we found Mr. Octopus. Just pour in the bubbles and turn him on for minutes of fun!!! The dogs really enjoyed eating the bubbles.
Later that Friday, the bubbles were followed by The Kelley Miller Circus. We had an awesome time taking Rylee to her very first circus. She was a perfect baby the entire time. To our surprise, she actually watched the entire circus, until she fell asleep that is. I thought we would have to walk around and keep her movin' but the circus kept her attention quite nicely! This is Ryan the clown. Rylee was more interested in the little girls dancing around to our right. I really like this pic of Daddy and Rylee. I think it's cool that you can see the ringmaster in the background.
Time for a bottle! She took the bottle great from Daddy. I think she was worried about missing the elephants. We were soooo close it was crazy. The elephants were definitely my favorite part of the show.
I mean seriously, how do you teach elephants to do that?? This was about enough awake time Rylee could take. It was 6:30 and she had been up since noon? Aren't babies suppose to "sleep a lot"?? This kid is up ALL DAY after her morning nap, minus a 20 minute nap or 2. It's really amazing. I guess 20 minutes is all she needs because she always wakes up happy.
Then Saturday we put on our bathing suits and headed out for her first dip in the pool. It's hard to say if she liked it because she was kinda crabby before we went in. She didn't scream so I think another attempt while in a better mood will be successful. She did like hanging out on the side though .
Daddy wrapped her up in a big towel and then put her robe on.
The picture on the left is our baby girl at 4 days old and the one on the right almost 4 months old, same robe. Wow. I have never been so sad and happy at the same time. Our little peanut is grow grow growing!!

Also on Saturday we went to The Exchange and bought Rylee her first Disney movie, well first 20 Disney movies. Santa will be giving her all the classics this Christmas. By the time she is old enough for family movie night, she will have her own movie library.

I bought Rylee the tray for her bumbo. It is perfect since she can't sit up on her own yet. She loves to spin that ferris wheel toy. It plays music every time she spins it.
She wanted to have some cuddle time with her Hopsy Wopsy. She always grabs the dogs faces when they get close enough. We told them it's only gonna get worse.
We finished off her weekend of firsts with her first visit to Great Grams. Gram bought some toys for her grand babies to play with when they visit. Nana and Gram showed them to Rylee.
Gram made a delicious dinner then Nana took Rylee to play in the grass. Gram was yelling at Nana that the grass was too wet. LOL.
Gram thinks if Rylee sees her she will cry, so she faces her outward. Gram is silly. Rylee loves her Great Gram! I think these pictures are so cute!
We had another terrific weekend! I can't believe it's August already!

  1. The close-up of Rylee in the bathrobe looking at the camera is one of the cutest photos I have ever seen of a baby! Glad she is enjoying the bubbles... something her and cousin Alexa have in common! We really do need to get together SOON :-) Love you guys.

  2. Wow, it is amazing how much she has grown which is so evident in the robe pictures. I enjoyed your comment about Gram thinking Rylee would cry if she looked at Gram. You are right, she is a funny lady and I am blessed she is my Mom. Really enjoyed all the pictures.
    Love, Aunt Janine
