Rylee Chase is One!

Merle & I both agree this has been the best year of our life. Rylee is the greatest! She is SO cute, hilarious, and a sponge for knowledge. I swear, she learns something new everyday. Her birthday fell on a Thursday, so we had a party with all her work friends. I decorated the house and her room during her nap. She was so excited when she woke up!
She was so pumped for the party in her little birthday shirt. It says "Birthday Princess Rylee".
Kelley was playing static with her.
Rylee swiped pizza right off someones plate.
Here's the party cake & smash cake I made for her.
Time for presents! Rylee received a TON of clothes, which she loves. She took each and every outfit across the room to show it off. She got a "first tooth/curl" boxes, a jewelry box, books and much much more. She is so lucky to have so many people that love her.

Then it was time to smash some cake! She thought it was super weird when everyone was singing to her. This look on her face pretty much sums it up. It was REALLY funny. Then when everyone clapped, she clapped. She then continued to start a round of clapping for the next 20 minutes. She absolutly loved getting everyone to clap.
She needed a little help from Daddy to get started.
Then on Sunday we had her party with family. I tried to keep it small so only invited a few. We were so excited that Michael was still in town and able to attend.
Jaden making Rylee crack up, as usual!
More playing and Bock sitting on Grammie whos says he is NOT a lap dog.
Then...PRESENTS! She again is SO lucky to have so many friends and family that love her and spend time with her. She got so many wonderful gifts from the family!

Here is her 2nd smash cake and the party cake that Grammie made for her.
Here we go again. We were smarter this time and put a sheet under her chair.
Gram & Michael hanging out and Rylee mowing with her new mower.
Playing with Rylee's new bubble machine & water table.
Oh...and Gram went with us to pick up the balloons. Not thinking, I let the dogs come as well so I had to shove the balloons in the back seat with Gram. I made Nana get a picture. Hahahaha.
Our friends from Michigan, Melanie & David stopped over to bring Rylee a gift.
Thr day after her birthday we took her for her one year wellness check. Dr. Reyes says she is doing absolutly great! She is well into the 18 month milestones and her weight and height are perfect. She is 21.0 lbs(50th percentile) and can face forward in her carseat now! She is 30" tall(90th percentile). Here are a couple picks of the ham at the doctors office.
We went to IHop for a birthday breakfast.
We got some one year professional pictures taken. It was fun. She is ridiculously photogenic.

Just some randoms....Climbing the stairs at Nana's and playing with banana's in Michigan.
Eating her cheese sample from Heinans. On 2 different occasions.
Too cool for school.
Playing after flying her kite at Auntie Bess's.
"Working".
Making mud pies with dirt & bubbles.
Dirty, dirty baby getting in the bath.
That's all I got for now! I'll leave you with a video of Rylee's latest way of cracking us up...
"Big Smile"....

  1. Great way to end the blog - I was grinning from ear to ear when Rylee smiled. It is so nice that you take the time to put all the pictures and information on your blog so those of us who are away can keep up with what is going on. You take great pictures, but I think that Rylee is so cute that it helps make your photos so good.
    Love, Aunt Janine
